In 2020, Velcro Companies introduced ERGs, or Employee Resource Groups. ​Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are voluntary employee led groups that come together based on a common interest or background focused on affiliate communities that are small or less well represented. They facilitate open communication by providing a place to share common interests, socialize, express oneself, and address concerns. And finally, they exist to build a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion and understanding within the company through the creation of a voice, increasing visibility, and creating advocates.
